C.S. Lewis was a Belfast-born British writer, scholar, and Christian apologist whose work spans children’s fantasy, theology, literary criticism, and adult imaginative fiction. He is best known to general readers for The Chronicles of Narnia, a seven-book fantasy series... that blends adventure, myth, Christian symbolism, and moral seriousness in a form that continues to reach both children and adults. Lewis also became one of the most influential Christian prose writers of the twentieth century through books such as Mere Christianity, The Screwtape Letters, and A Grief Observed, where he made complex spiritual and philosophical ideas unusually clear. Beyond Narnia, works such as the Space Trilogy and Till We Have Faces show his deeper interest in longing, belief, myth, temptation, loss, and the imagination’s search for truth.
